He expects/hopes to have the electronic for our cars in April/May so I am (probably naively) hoping for a May install.

As mentioned earlier KPtechnologies is no longer a sponsor on this board and therefore my old account was banned. As I am no longer a sponsor I will keep this short and sweet - if anyone has a one touch convertible module that doesn't work correctly Email me so we can get it fixed or returned. We stand behind ALL of our products and have for the past 6 years we have been making modules specifically for the Nissan / Infiniti market. I can't apologize enough for the issues we have had with this module (ie the times not being long enough). Admittedly we did not test enough vehicles before selling them through our site. That is one major issue with offering a low production niche product - it is hard to get adequate testing done. To my knowledge we have upgraded everyone to the chips with the longer timers and everyone should be good, but after catching up on this thread there seemed to be some people who still were not happy.

We can also add the remote control capability, but tearing out your entire backseat just to install the module doesn't seem like a good selling point!

Again, any issues Email me at Kevin.Pierson at KPtechnologies dot com

The installation instructions have been updated and now make sense.

If enough folks jump on to make a group buy, great. If not, I will just buy one in two weeks.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you all know I have been contacted by Kevin at KPtechnologies about providing my car to them as a test car for the purposes of developing a remote drop top module. I am going to discuss some options with him in the next week or so and will let you know what we decide.

I personally LOVE the system shown in the video posted above. I have NO interest in having to use a different key fob, but if it can be integrated into the existing infiniti ket fob like the video, I'm DOWN! Also actually like the option of putting top down while driving and could see doing so at slow speeds if rain was coming.

Stay tuned for updates from my meetings with KPtechnologies......

Do you think so? I have never pulled the seats before, so I am a little doubtful. I am surprised he called it a 5 minute install, but I am sure he has done hundreds.
I am thinking 30 to 60 minutes in my garage. I am cool with that.

So what does pricing look like? This looks good. However it seems it's the euro spec/mid east spec cars that are used in the demo with the side indicator light. I'm assuming this has been tested on US spec cars and there should be no difference in top operation.

The pricing is $299.00 and they have a shop in California. There is the Group Buy option at 10 or more but that would likely take some work.

Regarding the above company, they have THOUSANDS of Porsche and MB customers rolling around the US with their products. That is how I heard of them.
I would not put an electric component in my car if the company didn't have an established track record. My car is a lease and I do not need expensive repairs that will be not not be covered by warranty. Of course that is always a risk with mods, but I feel a proven track record makes me a lot more comfortable with doing it.
