the new lights flow much better with the car. With the current design, the lights look like a pair of butterfly wings that abruptly ends at the rear quarter panels. I hope I don't offend anybody, but the rear tail lights are what kept me from pulling the trigger on the g37 coupe 2 years ago.

Also, these new lights look nothing like the G sedan ones.

 

You couldnt even pre-order the car 2 years ago. I should know, I went in telling the dealership in April 07 that they could order it then. They didnt even know. I almost bought the 06 G35 but decided to wait for the G37.

The new lights are nice, I think. But yes, it does take away from the aggressiveness of the style which is why the G Coupes are so popular. If we wanted a curvy car, we would have bought Audi or Lexus. G owners like an aggressive design. I remember the first time I ever saw a G coupe. I about broke my neck trying to stare at it. At that point, I didnt know what is was but I swore than that I would find out and buy it. I had been searching to find the right car for 3 years before that (I am extremely picky).

The new lights sort of remind me of a toyota corolla. Most will agree when I say that the only design flaw of our G37's in the rear end. Not the lights, but how they took that G35 aggressiveness out of the rear. I still wish I had that concept car. That was the sh**.
