In certain situations yes, but if you have a wider wheel like 10.5" that's lighter then that helps even more with traction on the same type of tire.

I have 10.5 wide wheels, its my camber that is throwing my traction off lol. I'm gonna try 275 next and see if I can bring my camber back in a bit

Camber at what cost? You're gonna lose static grip around corners if you back out the camber.

Tire pressure is more important. Dial in the camber that suits your needs, and fine tune using tire pressure.

Well, My camber I'd at - 3.2 in the rear. Fronts is less than - 1 degree. I would like to bring it back out to - 2 ish.
What pressure do you recommend setting the tires to get maximum performance?

That totally depends on what you're doing.

-3.2 is way too much for street driving... -1.5 to -2 should be good.

Tire pressure... depends on the tire and what you're doing. Street driving I'd leave it around 30-32 cold. Hard driving, I'd aim for 36-38 hot, which equates to roughly 26-28 cold (way low for street driving). Just rough guidelines; it really depends on the tire and your driving.

I was only kidding lol. It's his negative camber that's killing his traction. His car is low, and looks great btw, but his 10.5 rear is more like a 9 inch when you're running that negative... Especially because hea running a street application.

Mike tracks his S2K and I'm sure he adjusts his camber accordingly depending on what he's doing.

I would recommend what Mike said for a street application and try to get back within a -2 camber. Eric, I'm not sure you can do it with how low you are and may need to lift the rear coils a bit. Or run super stretched. Have you decided on new wheels yet?

I just run with the camber maxed... stock adjustment range isn't enough for tracking

Camber joints are on order so I can actually get to what I want it to be...

Thanks for the advice! There's no way around on adjusting my camber back to - 2 with 285s. Either I get different wheels or stretch it a little. My air is set at 36 cold psi. I'm not sure if I would want it any lower than that due to the tire being low profile already..

I already have my eye on a set of volks, but the owner won't hold it if a buyer comes through. If it don't sell then I'm gonna run 275 tires and raise it back up a lil. Hopefully I can bring my camber back in a bit

The volks are those gold GT's huh? They would look sick and hopefully you get your Icons sold quick even though those are dope too.

What suspension you lowered on and do you have a camber kit? (sorry if I'm behind and this has been answered before)

Why not keep your Icons and just fix the camber and run at 275 instead?

I do want to keep them. It's just too damn heavy. I bet you if I get lighter wheels I can possibly gain a few more ponies lol. Those gold gt are nice, I originally ordered those but got into some problems with the ex vendor so I got a refund and bought something else.

I got F+R spc camber kit and sitting on JIC coilovers.

Yeah you should be able to get back to -2 camber spec... Too bad, those wheels are dope but so are the Volks. Maybe you should try and trade + cash with someone too, might have more luck cause not many people have $3300 cash to give up right now unfortunately.
