I just bought my first set of zaino stuff too. I'm really not looking forward to doing it, but I'm sure it'll be worth it once it's all done. Who would have thought you needed a manual to wash a car?

me too...that's why I posted this!

I guess the only way to do it is just to do it! What's the worst that can happen? (I'll keep that in mind when I post on Saturday for help or have the help desk on speed dial!)

Funny... I've been waiting for colder weather to put my next coat of Zaino on... I just checked your location and realized that I live a bit South of you... my Winter is probably a bit warmer than yours... probably low 70's today.

It does seem a bit confusing the first time you use Zaino. Here's a link to all of Zaino's products. Click on the links for the products you plan to use and each of them has an "Application Instructions" section in dark grey at the bottom of the page. Here's an example for the Zaino Z7 Show Car Wash.

Just decide on the products you want to use and then print out the "Application Instructions" for each of them.

Most people use the path escobar929 mentioned. If I had it to do over, I would probably put on a coat of Z5 too... next time I claybar it, I probably will. So, you probably want to go... Dawn wash... Z18 (claybar)... Z7 (wash)... Z5 (Polish)... Z6 (Gloss Enhancer Spray)... Z2 (Polish) mixed with ZFX (Flash Cure Accelerator Additive)... and finish with another coat of Z6.

You might want to put additional coats of Z2 on with Z6... I waited a week to put a second coat on because I was tired and hot... July in Florida... You might also want to use a final spray of Z8 if you bought that too... both Z6 and Z8 are interchangeable.

Hope that helps...

lol,
Z2 usage instructions:
1) fill bottle 1/2 with Z2 and 4drops of accelerator
2) shake well for 1minute
3) put a dot of Z2 on the applicator
4) rub on 1ftx1ft section
5) goto step (3) until entire car is complete
6) wait 30min and rub off with clean cotten towel using up and down motion to prevent swirls

Some people put a coat of Z5 polish before the Z2, but I didn't.

It's a lot of work, but it looks great and lasts a good long time. It rained yesterday and my car looked like it had rows and rows of evenly spaces small dropplets of water over the whole finish... That makes it worth it.

Post a couple of pictures after you get her all shinned up.
Sorry to chime in last minute here, but pretty much what he said. Follow the directions on Zaino's site (and the ones the mail to you with the product - same thing) and you'll be fine. Its a little intimidating at first, but the results speak for themselves.

Give me a call if you hit any snags or problems. Looking forward to seeing your pictures.

dude, its obvious your uninformed.
1) Zaino is a polish, not a wax.
2) Zaino will have your car looking better than it did the day your bought it (assuming you dont have chips all over it)
3) A bottle of wax takes ALOT of elbow grease and a couple hours time while all these steps of Zaino are easy and take a couple hrs time total.
4) Zaino Rules

What he said, but I'd just add that Zaino isn't right for every application AND its just intimidating the first time you do it. Its really easy to keep up with once you get more comfortable/experienced using it.
