Track time again, 10-21

i know alan and a couple more people are going, the low will be down in the 60s that night, it is definently cooling off a bit, so i figured we would go out there again, so who else is in???

we took alans VQ apart that had a hole in the side of the block, crazyness, i can see why cams are so expensive to get put in, but i would tackle it for sure... i would be really scared of any forced induction on stock internals after seeing how it bent the hell outta that rod and broke it....

crazy, the piston was in about 10 pieces, rod bent and broken and shoved through the block, cant wait to start working on mine after i finally close on this damn house.....

I'm going to the track on friday but I'm going to ride my 1000RR for a change because my car is getting some super top secret stuff(no I won't tell either so don't ask). It'll be a good change of pace to go high 9's instead of my slow G35. We took apart the old motor that had been sitting in my garage for months. One of the pistons was smashed in pieces, so much so that it was nowhere to be found. It went like this: 12psi, 16degrees timing, 11.0af, rod snapped, motor kept turning, piston looked like it went through a garbage disposal and no piece bigger than a quarter, lol.

The AEM that I had was broken so I had to send it back. I doubt it will be here by Fri. Car doesn't sound to great with a big hole in the exhaust.

I have an extra one off the wideband on my race bike. You're more than welcome to that one or just go up to A1 on orange and tell them what you need. I know they have them and they have the bungs on site so they can make sure it fits.

No good... It looks like there is a 30% chance of rain due to this possible large hurricane. I am going to wait to head to the track once I get the exhaust (hopefully 2 more weeks). By then, the temps should be in the mid to low 60s every night.

Good luck, gents.
