Richard takes G #5...

welp, I dropped the beast off at about 9am this morning...bumper, hood, and sideview holders are all being painted.

I asked them about buffing out the scratch on the door from the caravan to the first lokey meet. One of the other guys looked at it and said it was 50/50 to get it out and that there would be very little clear coat even if he did. If they tried and went into the paint then it would automatically get sent to paint and would be a $200+ fix. I decided to live with it for a little while.

But, he recommended me to get a "black wax" and use that. He says I should be using it anyway. Anyone familar with them?? zaino is suppose to be applied straight to the clear coat and therefore I dont know what to do. Places like the clear bra on the rear fenders not to mention scratches show alot. He said black wax would hide all of it.

Didn't G35lips go there too? That would make you the 6th

I know of a brand called Black Wax, but don't know anything about it. I'm actually surprised that Zaino is so popular amongst black Gs on driver, everywhere else I've heard that people don't like it on black because it gives a mirror finish and not a deep wet look.

"welp" right back at you. You would apply the black wax over the zaino. Only problem is that you cannot reapply the zaino w/o doing the dawn/clay (start all over) process.

Welp, I got a call from Richard today (thanks to Aleic) telling me that because of all the rentals he hadnt started on mine yet. He said he could start now and be done by Wed or Thur of next week or I could pick it up and bring it back on Tuesday. I realized (thanks again to Aleic) that with only a week before the SFL meet I should wait. SOO long story short...my car is back home and will be taken to Richard on the 13th.

What do you mean Wes, those white scrathes on the side of the bumper weren't painted effects from Richard?
