I don't see the point in hf cats. There are no emission tests in FL so go with the test pipes....less expensive and will add the same power if not more than hf cats.

To avoid the rasp I guess. I've heard the Crawford and Helix cats and they sound way better, though I don't know about the R/T cats and how bad the rasp is with them. I can't wait to hear what they sound like with an aftermarket exhaust on Ian's car.

Helix test pipes rasp very badly. I knew a G owner (who I bought my Borla from and was a very influential pioneer in starting our club) who had them put on at Lokey one day and taken off the next because of the sound. But they will yield more power than a high flow cat at the cost of the aforementioned sound and bad smell.

You can run tests pipes on 03 models but not on the 04 and up due to different/more sensitive emmisions systems the newer cars come with. Expect your CEL light to pop up sooner or later if you run them on 04's and up.

The R/T cats with a Borla exhaust rasp as well (around 2500-2800krpm full throttle) but not as bad as the helix cats. They're still tolerable/livable. You may also hear a "hissing" noise when deccelerating due to the air resonance of the cat (I don't think Crawford cats have this sound). I got the RT cats for free so I can live with it until they implode on me.

Regarding the clear bra...if you have Alan (www.invincaman.com) install it he does a pretty good job to the point where the bra is unnoticeable (unless you're looking for it) especially if applied to a red, silver or diamond graphite car. I have no fear of smashing multiple love bugs on I-4 or I-75...

So when are you joining the FGC? Some of us are heading out there June 3rd at Lokey Infiniti in Clearwater to have our cars serviced. It would be a great time to meet us, have lunch and come see what we're about...

I am planning on joining the club. I don't really need any service done to my car... but I guess I could head out there to talk G stuff... You can never run out of stuff to talk about... Plus Lokey is REALLY close to me. I'll read through the other thread for all the details....
