Since I didn't win it at the meet, I ordered by Crawford Cast from Doug today. Heck, with the tickets I purchased it only cost me about $500.00. When I ordered, I let Doug know that we really appreciated his support of our club and this was one of the reasons I was buying from him.

Please remember to keep our sponsors in mind when you are ordering and let them know they are visible and appreciated in their support for the FloridaG35Club! This is a win-win for all involved.

 

I have same sentiments as you, Tony. As soon as I got back from Tampa, I e-mailed a thank you letter to Allan Selligman for supporting our club and that his donation (gift certificate) was very much appreciated.

I request that all winners of the raffle do the same as Tony and I did and voice your thanks to all the sponsors that donated the items that you won whether it be e-mail or phone call.

 

I would recommend everyone calling, PM'ing or emailing all the sponsors not just the people who won their product in the raffle. If someone has a list of email addresses for our sponsors and would like to share I think it would be great to overwhelm them with thank you letters for their support. I have already thanked some of the sponsors and will continue to thank the rest tomorrow.

Good question and Im sure todd has more info than me (afterall I am only the VP) but Doug cant even keep a plenum in stock. They get sold before they are made.

After it slows down a little, Todd may be able to talk Doug into a nice FGC group buy. Im sure Todd will reply shortly after me with a 2page writeup

Page 2... Our sponsor discounts for the club are listed on the club website. Simply hold your mouse over each sponsor's banner and see if they are offering us any discounts. I personally talked with Doug about a club discount and his answer was that when he discounts his products it makes for an accounting nightmare for him at the end of the year. In all reality, giving us a FREE $400 plenum is discount enough. Throwing in a FREE $80 billet oil cap is even more of a bonus. If 20 people buy a plenum from Doug, that is equivalent to a $24 discount per plenum. Although everyone doesn't get that discount, the club benefits just the same in our sponsors eyes. Odds are, if you're going to buy a Crawford plenum, you'll do so whether Doug offers a 5 or 10% discount or not. The plenum is a KILLER MOD and it's definitley worth every penny at $395. Heck I paid more than that for mine and I would have done it all over again given the same circumstances.

Tony since you just ordered a plenum maybe you know. How long is it taking Doug to ship the plenum once its been ordered?

 

He said I should have it in my hands by the end of this week or the begining of next.

 

Doug is ordering plenums in batches of 50 or 100. If you get lucky and order a plenum right before he gets them in, your wait is close to nothing. If he sells all of his plenums and then you call him, he may put in another order with the casting supplier, but then he's at their shops schedule/mercy.
