I have the R1Concepts "Premium" rotors on my '05. They work great.....better than my warped stock rotors!!!!

05 brakes are 12.6" in the front and 12" in the rear

So, the 2005 sedan and coupe have the same brakes? Is it just the AWD sedan with the odd-ball set-up?

The 03-04 G35 sedans and coupes (non-Brembo), the 2005 G35X, and the 03-05 350Z all share the same brakes - rotors and calipers- the rotors are smaller and the calipers are different (fronts only have one piston). The 05-07 G35 coupe, 05-06 G35 sedan, 06 G35X, and 06 350Z are larger with two piston calipers up front.

Even though some vendors say their brake pads and rotors fit a certain year model, you may get the wrong size.

On Shermie's car, R1 sent the appropriate (larger) rotors for the 05 coupe. (The R1 rotors are just fine BTW. We painted them black to prevent rust before installing them.) But Orlando Infiniti gave him the smaller pads for an 04 coupe even though he told them he had an 05. We went to 3 auto parts stores trying to find the 05 pads, but they gave us either the smaller 04 pads or Brembo pads when we asked for pads for an 06 350Z. We took the stock pads with us to verify.

I just put the project mu's on front and rear but I have an 04 with brembos and they work amazing and they have very little dust unlike my fact brembo pads.

Does anyone know if this rotor size is the same for a 2005 G35coupe with the sport package? I have done a little searching and cannot tell if the regular coupe and the sport package coupe has the same brakes. I think they do for 2005, just want to be sure since the guy on the phone at racingbrake.com was a little flaky...

I tried r1concepts, but they advised their rotors do not fit a 2005 coupe, just the AWD sedan...

As a side note, has anyone bought and used the Project Mu brake pads yet???
