I had my very close friend die the same way last year but he was wearing a helmet, then a co worker the same, without the helmet 2 weeks later. I sold my bike years ago and I am glad I did.

Speeding or not....the other drive made the U-turn in front of him....i know he shouldn't have been speeding but the other drive holds some LARGE responsiblity in this...if he was doing 40 mph and someone turned infront of him..he could have been killed as well.....sorry to hear this

are you using "bro" as in a buddy or was he truly your brother? either way, that is terrible. There are so many fast cars running around Miami that it is a very regular occurance.

driving at double the speed limit probably negates any responsibilty the car driver may have......as the bike driver was acting "recklessly" and "irresponsibly." .......but I am sure some shark will argue otherwise!

My condolences.. But however, don't feel bad, there is a reason that you didn't have the bike.. and unfortunately, there was a reason why he bought it. May the Lord hear our prayers. God bless.

90+mph and weaving erratically between cars...do you really expect us all to be on the lookout for such drivers? we're not in a war zone. its each person's sole responsibility to drive safely because you not only endanger yourself but those around you.
