In your opinion - best bang for buck camber & toe arms?
In your opinion - best bang for buck camber & toe arms?
Hey guys. Just sold my '10 7AT & bought a '13 6MT. Going coil overs this time, instead of springs.
I'll be buying Tanabe coil overs, what in your opinion would be the best bang for buck camber/toe arms so that I can keep my alignment in check? Thanks guys.

SPC is the lowest priced setup that is still a reputable brand, there's others like Kinetix, Megan, and some Ebay stuff that's lower priced but stick w/ SPC and you'll be OK. SPL is a step up but "bang for the buck". I'd run SPC kits, also the Eibach kits are the same as the SPC but are usually priced about 10% higher (or more).

I'm running SPC kits front and rear with no issues. I would suggest touching base with Adam over at Race Consulting Agency, they beat any other pricing I could find.

I've not seen the SPL products in person, but they look very nicely made both front and rear parts. Pricey!!
SPL parts are cnc milled billet aluminum. SPC/Kinetix appear to be welded steel or aluminum.
I wonder how the longevity is on the spc/kinetix parts.

I just picked up a rear-only SPC Camber & Toe kit here in a FS thread, as an unused, new-in-the-box set of parts. Got them for a very reasonable price, too. Point being, keep a weather eye on the FS threads, because things pop up. I suspect a lot of people buy them as part of a suspension upgrade, then don't bother actually using them. Stuff happens.
Also, be wary of the clearance between the camber arm and your Eibach Sways. Turns out there's barely a 1/4" gap there. Fortunately, these components move up & down together(ish). Here's a picture I took just this morning:

These rear SPL arms (below) sure are pretty. And titanium? I wonder what component is Ti?
Damn pricey, too, at $300, but not outrageous. Note how they're slightly bent, to account for aftermarket swaybars. Also notice how the adjustment is only at the one end, with this allen-key lock over a lock-nut. That's a pretty interesting design.

Here you go

And you can go w/ the SPC rear camber bolt/toe bolt kit (2 kits needed) rather than the rear camber arms for another $50

The spl products just seem to have a much more robust design. That's why my comment about spc longevity. Once you set them, do they lose their setting over time, etc..

I've been contemplating which set to go with, as well... SPC or SPL. I can clearly tell that SPL makes a high quality product, and that inclines me to want to get them, but they're so incredibly expensive compared to SPC that if SPC is good enough, I could spend all that extra $$ on other mods... decisions, decisions...

I think it depends on what your plans are for your car. If it's just a great looking daily driver w/ spirited driving the SPCs will work just fine. If your plans include frequent track duty, autocross, etc then going to the beefier SPLs would be a sound decision. I've had the SPCs for over 4 years and 60k miles without a single issue, and my alignment has stayed rock solid throughout.
Oh ok, thanks. I had wanted to ask if you knew which one of the camber or toe bolts I would need from the Z1 eccentric lockout kit that comes with the square washers? The SPC camber kit that I will purchase comes with 2 bolts that utilize circular washers. Essentially, will I need to acquire solely the camber bolts of the Z1 eccentric kit? Thanks.
