I do not recommend All-Fleet Services (LONG)

As some of you know, I used Richard @ All-Fleet Services to paint my Kuruma bumper. I was satisfied with the price and return time of the painted bumper, but the paint did not match to my expectations. I returned less than a week later to his shop and spoke with his wife. She said the only way to match the paint would cost $450 to blend the bumper with the hoof and fenders...which was a price I was not willing to pay.

After speaking with some members in the club, I decided to go speak with Richard myself.

Yesterday, I went to his shop with Ian (he is my witness). I told Richard how his past customers recommended me to take it back to him to try to match the paint better...that is his job, isn't it? During the day, the paint matches pretty well, but at night...the paint looks horrible. The bumper is much darker. I also showed Richard where the paint was spider-webbing. I told him that I installed the bumper myself and was not happy with the fitment, so I asked him to shave down the bumper where the headlight meets it and also asked him to attach the black plastic peice that's under theb umper for added support. Richard quoted me $150 to do all this. He said he would only charge me for the paint about $30 to connect the black plastic piece. He told me to call his wife today to make an appointment.

I left his shop and started to drive to work. Driving on the 408, I hear this loud scraping noise. I pulled over to notice that the black plastic was dragging against the pavement. I originally had the black plastic wedged above the bottom of the bumper, so it would not drag on the ground. I was unaware the Richard pulled it out. By the time I pulled over, the plastic was scraped off to where I could not wedge it above the bumper again...Not exactly Richard's fault, but a big inconvenience. So today I spent an hour cutting and unscrewing part of it.

So I called Richard's wife today to make an appointment. I told her what I wanted done and how much Richard quoted me. She remembered me from before and stated that I assured her on my last visit that I was satisfied with the paint. I told her I was not satisfied with the paint, but didn't want to spend the $450 to blend the paint. She told me this is the only way to match the paint. I then went on to tell her how I met with Ricahrd yesterday and he quoted me $150 for the work stated above. She started giving me an attitude and said she would have to talk to Richard and call me back. About 20 minutes pass and she calls me back...attitude still there. She says she has a problem with me since I stated on my last visit that I was happy with the paint and 3 months later, I want it repainted. She said that the $150 they charged me for the first time to do the bumper was really cheap and should have been $300. I told her I'd be paying that price because I'm paying another $150 to have the bumper redone. $150 + $150 = $300. She then argues with me and says that she cannot have him paint my bumper for free? She said she wanted to make me aware that the $150 that Richard quoted me was only for paint. I said no, I talked to Richard and he quoted me $150 for everything. So I asked how much she thinks it would be to fit the bumper. She replie that she's not at the computer....still being completely rude. So she asks what I want to do. I told her I would find another shop.

The end.

Man, I would have reminded his wife that you are talking to her to make an appointment, not to discuss pricing.

She is the worst business person I have ever dealt with. He is a good guy but completely owned by her. Thats complete crap that she tryed to go back against the price he quoted you. He normally will write up an estimate, which would have said $150 for everything on it. I take it you dont have that which means she will just yell at Richard until he says what she wants.

I dont plan to go back there either, it just sucks because you should be having the paint done for free and only pay the shaving/mounting costs. Another shop you'll be paying for it all.

I didn't think they did a good job painting Neff's right front fender at all. If they call that quality work, there are other places that can do better.
