so i was thinking.... our stock throttle body is 76.5 mms and our stock maf is 72mms. went out and got a ford lightning MAF housing and cut up an ole intake, the stock air box and a bunch of other stuff. not sure if it would work.


well it worked for sure. after a little utec compensation for the maf reading less now. the car pulls SOO much harder. i have an accelerometer that shows what i pull forward in each gear. second gear used to max out (in colder weather) at .41 Gs, its slammed .47 in second gear AND held it there. third gear used to get around .33 all the time and it hit .39 with ease.


anyone running with a utec or a computer, this would be a smart thing to do. i will be jumping on a dyno on friday to see what i have done

i have seen a 12.7 or two from full race cars. i want to hit 12.5 here soon and would like to be in the 11s in the next 6 months. very very possible because my car is pretty stock still

 

I'm surprised that no one has offered a larger MAF for the VQ motor. Other manufacturers have larger aftermarket MAF offered for the longest time.
