CAT replacement TP or HFC

Hello Everyone

I have a g37S convertible 2013, the car had some rattling noise in the exhaust so the mechanic said its the catalyst and he remove the filling so the car can run smoother, the car is having weird smell which is expected withing the filling of CAT.

so I need your help to choose between HFC or TP or keep it as it is.

1- I hated the smelll of car with the current hollow CAT, will the Test pipe have the same smell ?

2-will the test pipes make the car sound better than the hollow CAT or HFC ?

3- Best tp and HFC to consider with reasonable price.

I have only Takeda CAI and this will be my second afermarket part what shiould be my next change to have cooler exhaust sound and better performance?

Your car has two catalytic converters, one each side. I'm assuming your mechanic didn't just gut the one, right? Either way, you're probably getting a CEL because of this.

Test pipes or gutted cats... same thing, same smell. Get high-flow cats. Better yet, get resonated high flow cats.

IDK what's on today's market anymore, can't advise about that.

I did little research i found Berk resonated sound pipe for 350 USD and it does not create a fault code, cheapest HFC is 550 and no resonated version.

What do you think should i install next ?

Sway bars (any brand) and 3-season tires.

If you dont like the smell you probably wont like the rasp included with the test pipe, even resonated.

Your best choice will be resonated HFC.
