I mean, if you have enough money you can put a space shuttle main engine in there.

The issue will be electronics, and even if you port over the entire harness and ECU for the VR30 it won't be easy to get it to work with the rest of the car. Not an easy DIY if you're not an EFI engineer. However, I know Z1 did a VR swap into a Z car - I'd start by talking to them.

 

The short answer for a DIY wrench is NO.

 

Time and money, anything is possible.

I'd probably go the LS route if I were to take on a project of this scale.

You're swapping out the 5AT for the 7AT (VR30) unit?

Please keep us updated on that project. Stout as the 5AT is they are getting long in the tooth...
