2009 G37 Engine Problems

Greetings. How 'bout that weather?

I have a 2009 G37, four door, just over 110,000 miles. About two months ago, the engine started acting up. Although I am not driving it at all, the car will simultaneously de-accelerate - the speed reduces, yet, without any prompting on my part, the RPMs increase, to 4000, 5000, even 6000 RPMs. Today, on my way to Infiniti in Austin, the "check engine" light came on.

Any input would be most appreciated,

Rick

You're just asking people to guess without even the codes from CEL. My guesses are sensor issue or transmission issue

Godzilla is right. We’d really only be guessing without additional info.

Buy an OBD reader like this one: https://a.co/d/0bAKC7hM

download DashCommand (free app) then post the code.

Also let us know if there are any mods. Stock, at 110k, the VQ37VHR is just getting warmed up.
