I'm trying to find a shop to replace the 3.7 out of a '11 G37xs sedan, I'll be providing the motor so it's just the labor I'm being quoted on and i was quoted roughly +20 hrs and around $3.5k+ tax .. does that sound right?? & Do i need a specific motor for the XS or will any 3.7 from a g37 or q50 do?? I've searched on here and found threads where they asked about the G37s but wasn't sure if that applied to the XS or not. And does the same go for the 7AT Trans? .... Sry for the beginner questions. Thank you in advance!!! Also, does anyone here live in WA state, Olympia - Tacoma area and can recommend a place? Or is a mechanic/knows a Nissan/Infiniti mechanic wanting to make some extra cash?

 

The donor engine should be from an AWD model. The AWD models have a special upper oil pan with a tunnel for the CV shaft to pass through.

 

Drift Office in Auburn installed my twin turbo kit and are great folks, very familiar with the platform. Other suggestion is Group 2 Motorsports in Woodinville, definitely far for you and they are a more Euro centric shop, but their workmanship and attention to detail is the best I've encountered in the business.
