At first I though it was the wheel bearing, again, only replaced it a year ago with a NVA brand from z1. Just missed the warranty by a week.
Confirmed play in FR wheel, removed bearing, it did not spin freely, felt like notches. Slapped on an extra one that I mistakenly order from the first time (thought they were sold individually instead of pairs).
Typical bad bearing solved right? Next thing I knew it still made the humming noise on the highway.
So I’m moving my suspicion down the line, to the front diff/final drive. I suspect this bearing between the diff and the axle is the culprit. Part 38342-03V01.
No experience with that, but when I’m trying to find a noise I have someone run it at speed while I listen underneath, use a very long screwdriver or stethoscope
Did you figure out the issue? I have a hun from 20 mph to 50 mph sounds like front drivers tire. I had the tires. Slander and just replaced the wheel bearing…issue still there. Front brakes also replaced. I’m stumped should I take it into a shop?
I thought it was the front diff cuz I felt "clicking" when I rotated the cv axle by hand. Ended up replacing both front wheel bearings again, and the noise reduced 90%. Guess it was the wheel bearings after all.
