Car stopped accelerating when flooring it

Hey guys, I’m new to the forum/website but I’ll keep it short and simple, I drive a 2009 g37s coupe 6MT 190k KMS on it, on my way home today I was going about 75km/h and I dropped into third gear and hit the gas pretty hard, as the rpm’s were going up, it suddenly stopped accelerating, like I pushed the clutch back in, I tried to push the gas down more but still nothing. The car wasn’t super warm, but I’ve never experienced this before, any suggestions as to what I could or couldn’t be? Not sure if it was lag, or somthing like that?

If I understand what you are telling us correctly ,it sounds like you clutch was slipping. Might need a new one

I don’t think it’s the clutch slipping because the RPMs don’t continue to go up when it stops accelerating

Does the car still exhibit this behavior or has it gone back to "normal?"

Checked for any codes?

Could be limp mode... it is a 2009...

"as the rpm’s were going up, it suddenly stopped accelerating."

If the rpms are going up and car is not accelerating it could be the clutch

"I don’t think it’s the clutch slipping because the RPMs don’t continue to go up when it stops accelerating"

If the rpms stopped going up and the car stopped accelerating it could of been your VDC kicking in if this was only a momentary issue

Im haveing a difficult time understanding what you are typing
