The wires from the paddles go the Unified Meter/ AC Amp which is located behind the preset switch panel (the clock one):
Is this what you needed/ wanted?
Friendly advice, make sure battery is disconnected prior to working on any electrics AND, mark each connector as you disconnect them to ensure you put them back in the proper location. It is VERY easy to mix up some of the connectors in that center stack which can brick the car.

Thank you for this helpful thread. I have my paddles and wiring harness set up and ready for installation. The only thing I can’t can’t find online is which panels to remove in the interior to route wires from the paddles to the unified meter A/C harness behind the center console.
I know I need to take off the steering column shroud and remove the center console, but what else? The lower dash panel? And if so, how do you remove those panels?
there are videos showing how to remove the center console and I’ve already removed my steering wheel and steering wheel column shroud multiple times so that’s no issue. I just want to know how to route wires from point A to point B.

not to sure still haven’t ever figured this one out are you able to make a video of you do ever figure it out I would really appreciate it thanks
With respect, folks, but if you can not figure out how to route two simple wires then maybe you should not be attempting this modification. I am not trying to come off as hateful or disrespectful, however.
That said, absolutely none of this is complicated. The hardest part is securing the hardware. After that, just:
DISCONNECT BATTERY AND WAIT ≈ 5min.;
remove the steering wheel shroud/ you DO NOT need to remove the wheel!;
remove the preset switch panel (the clock one);
pull the amp/ AV headunit out just enough to gain access to AMP connectors;
install the paddles;
route TWO (2) wires from the paddles, down the column, behind the dash and over to the amp;
install TWO (2) wires; and
button everything back up.
If memory serves, there are a total of ten (10), or less, screws in the whole project. If it helps, you can easily route the two (2) wires along the existing harnesses from point A to point B using electrical tape to secure them.
Stop overthinking this. If you are that uncomfortable, or inexperienced, with these types of projects then source local help from knowledgeable folks and show them this thread as a guide.

@ILM-NC G37S is invaluable. I am going to LKQ tomorrow and scrounge me some paddles from a Maxima, if they are still there! I hope my wires are there. '10 G37X base. Also if sounds like the base models (no nav/Bose) do not have the wiring, is this true?

Just wanted to chime back in here in case it helps anyone else. I have a 2010 base convertible that didn't come pre-wired for paddle shifters. I purchased a custom wiring harness from an InfinitScene forums user "Rex" and completed the entire installation in 1hr 45minutes. It cost me $139 to have the wiring harness built and shipped from Taiwan to NC.
For reference, I'm not a very handy individual. The most intense installation I've ever done before this was a Stillen Gen3 CAI. You basically just plug in the white connector from the harness below into the back of your unified meter and a/c amp harness located behind the center control stack with the clock, volume and climate control dials. Follow all of ILM-NC G37S's instructions to get there. This solution worked best for me because it was "plug and play" once I got the harness from Rex.
