How hard would it be to add a wire harness for paddle shifters?

I don't have the right wiring harness for paddle shifters and the harness is expensive, but I am thinking about adding is to that I can do a paddle package. I know part of the new harness would have to goto the paddles, but does anyone know where the other end goes? I.e. if the wires just go to the shifter or ifthey go to a place like the CPU that would require replacing the ENTRE harness rather than just part?

If you can show me a thread that details the origin and terminating ends of the paddle shifter harness, then I'd be interested, I have searched, and I have not found.

As far as why I am asking this again, it is because I didn't get any good answers before and I'm hoping the passing of time may have increased someone else's knowledge base. This question is more specifically trying to find people with knowledge about the wiring harness rather than get responses from people who assume I am asking about adding paddles to a pre-wired car.
