Quick Poll: Owners NOT having a vibration issue in Drive (D) while stopped...
I'm currently in the process of trying to find a resolution to the vibration in Drive (D) issue that occurs with my G (Q40), and well as other G owners. The vibration occurs only in Drive (D) and while at a stop (i.e. at a stop sign or stoplight) when the RPM is at 500 or below. All other gears... Park, Reverse, Neutral all show 650 RPM. Most prominent way to confirm this condition is that you can feel the vibration in the seat. Also, vehicle is at normal operating temp, with accessories on or off (doesn't matter).
While I have received a lot of response from owner's that have this issue, I thought it would be a good idea to ask owners that do NOT have any vibration issues to help with the research in this
So my questions to NON-vibration G/Q owners is:
1. Year of vehicle?
2. Sedan or Coupe?
3. AWD or RWD?
4. Manual or Auto?
5. What is your RPM while in Drive (D) and at a stop (with A/C ON)?
6. What is your RPM while in Drive (D) and a stop (with A/C OFF)?
7. IF your RPM is at 500 RPM as well (regardless if A/C is on or off) do you have a vibration in Drive (D)?
Thanks,
JSB

I know this is the Sedan forum, however:
2008 Coupe 5AT 105,477 miles:
At operating temperature:
- Base Idle P, R, N, D: ≈650rpm
- Idle w/ AC off: ≈650rpm
- Idle w/ AC on: ≈650-700rpm
I do notice that on the hottest days (95°+) when stopped for a red light/drive thru/etc. my rpm's may go as high as 725/750 and usually the radiator/condenser fans are roaring. Once the fans slow down the idle returns to normal.
To date my rpm's have never dropped below 650 under any conditions and thus I have no vibrations.

This is not a sedan problem, this is an engine/drivetrain problem. So I moved the thread.
And my car does not vibrate while stopped unless the A/C compressor is running. My idle speed is 650 rpm warm in both park and drive.

She vibrates...
P R and N are at 675ish, D regardless of AC at 600. Sometimes the vibration is very heavy causing other parts to vibrate within the cabin, but not very often. I know my windshield washer reservoir is loose, the entire clip holder broke off before i bought the car.

Hi Guys,
Thank you to those that responded to my post. I am on a mission now to see if I can find a solution to this vibration issue.
There are a few important questions I forgot to ask:
1. Year of vehicle?
2. Sedan or Coupe?
3. AWD or FWD?
4. Manual or Auto?
Thanks,
JSB
