08 G37 ecu vs 2015 370z ecu - Uprev Flash

I flashed my 08 G37 successfully once, but after that uprev keeps reading it as a stock ECU. I know its not stock anymore because i can use the cruise control to select different tune maps.

i sent the ecu to uprev. They told me they were able to read it just fine. They suspect its my cars wiring that has an issue. I asked how they hooked up to my ecu, they said they did a bench test and also in another car.

i want to try putting my ECU in my cousins 370z to flash it but scared of any unknown complications I may run into.

would it be ok if i put my ecu in his 370z just to flash it?

There won’t be any issues just plugging it in, you should be able to connect to to.

Turns out we couldnt read it as a flashed ecu because ofa blown fuse. Figure that out when we plugged in a obd2 scanner and couldnt get any power from the connection.
