Gallery Gasket and WaterPump Replacement Parts List

I'm having the water pump replaced on my 08 G37(118k) replaced at the shop next week. Being charged 8 hours of labor time for the water pump. I figure since the chain and timing cover will have to come off anyway I will ask the shop to replace the Gallery Gaskets as well. I don't think it should add much to the cost to have the preventative maintenance on those gaskets done.

Here is the part list I am going to buy. The shop wants to replace the chain and tensioner since we will be in there anyway. Curious to see what is the forum's take is on that. Can anyone add if I'm missing something or if there are better products.

All OEM parts unless otherwise specified
Tensioner: 13070-EY00A - $70.49
Timing Chain:13028-ZS70A - $91.88
Water Pump: B1010-JK20A - $70.60
Gasket Maker: 999MP-1217HP- $15
Coolant: 999MP-L25500P - $15
Serpentine Belt: 11720-EY00A - $35
Timing Cover Kit w. OEM Gallery Gaskets and 9 bolts (CZP) -129.74

Also if anyone in the Albany NY(+/- 100 miles), has done this before and would want to undertake this job feel free to pm me!

Darfsalot, - Just completed this job, and I would rate myself as an advanced DIYer. The 8 hrs of labor time is very reasonable for this job as it took me about double that time but I am very detailed about my work as this is a job you don't want to do twice. Your decision to have the galley gaskets replaced is a wise one and it will most likely pay dividends down the road if you plan on keeping this vehicle for some time. Your list is very complete and the pricing appears good but check out the pricing at Z1motorsports for your OEM parts and see which one gives you the better pricing. A couple of other items you may want to consider are the Lower Timing Chain Crank sprocket (about $30), I noticed some moderate wear on my, a new thermostat assembly (~$25) and possibly a new oil pressure sending unit (~$22). I also assume you will be changing the oil and filter as normal maintenance at this time? I also changed out my upper and lower radiator hoses. I assume you don't have any codes current or pending is that correct? What has prompted you to replace the water pump if you don't mind me asking? I live in the Rochester NY area so I am a bit too far for you to consider me as possible install option.

How did it go? I'm in CT, looking for an Infiniti shop that can do this... I noticed a slow coolant leak, and under the car, coolant seems to be leaking from the timing area. Assuming this Water Pump is internal, this must be the problem. How did you figure out it was the Water Pump at first?

If these guys are good, and you would recommend them, i wouldn't mind bringing it up there.
