I currently have a 2011 G37S Coupe, 6MT with 116k km on the engine (72k miles). Unfortunately I have timing issues and quotes for repair from both an independent Nissan/Infiniti shop as well as the dealership are both above $6,500.

I’m thinking an engine swap may be a better, more cost effective solution.

Any tips on what to look for in a used VQ37VHR? Other than low mileage and newer model year? Which donor vehicles are compatible? G37 sedan? What about AWD or Automatic? 370Z? FX37? EX37?
