Remote Starter

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if someone could help me with the issue I am having with my G37. My car has a remote starter system that worked perfectly fine. It would use the OEM key and would work after I pressed the LOCK button 3 times. Recently, I purchased a Dorman 99159 Keyless Entey Remote to act as a backup for my G since I only had one key. After setup everything functions perfectly except for remote start. When I hit the LOCK button 3 times, the car makes some throttle noise but it doesn’t fully start up. It’s like it is able to start up half way but then doesn’t have enough force to fully start the engine. Does anyone know why this is and how I can fix it? Winter is almost here and I would really appreciate if someone could help me to solve my issue! Thanks!

Does it work with the remote you originally had?

No, the car only cranks up halfway and does not fully start the engine. This is the case on both remotes.
