Limp mode

every few weeks or so my car randomly goes into limp mode and doesn't allow me to accelerate. Its been to the dealer 2 times already and they cant figure it out. all the did is the update for the trans. They said it could be my intakes but the intakes have been on for around a year already and just started happening 2 months ago, so IMO i dont think its them. The weird part is it doesn't throw and codes or lights. Anyone else have this happen??

Check to see if your maf sensor connectors are loose or corroded.

This happened to me on occasion in my 2004 G35x. The dealer didn't find a cause. Usually it happened on backing up if the revs were a little too high; there was a feeling of a clunk and when I put in in Drive it would be in limp mode. I would then stop and turn the engine off and immediately restart it and all would be well.

It has not happened in my used 2009 G37x purchased a few months ago.

Only went into limp mode 1 time. I was driving in DS on a very windy road, so I know WHY I went into limp mode.

She needed a little rest...

Limp mode

I have a 2010 g37x and its currently in limp mode and the SES light is on, i replaced my dead battery, checked my MAF sensors and reset the ECU...the car is till in limo mode.
Any ideas why? Or why it even went in limp mode ?

Get the fault code read and report it back here. Speculating as to what the problem MAY be is of little use when you have such a clear indication of what the problem actually is right in front of you.

I had a similar issue with 2013 g37x. I had the dealer clean my throttle bodies, along with swapping out MAF sensors and air filters. That helped me tremendously. I have yet to experience again. They could not pinpoint the actual issue but I believe the throttle bodies were really dirty. They recommend I clean my TB's at least one every year or so.

I had this happen to my 08 G. It would happen every week or so. I didn't think too much of it. In fact my coworker had the same issue. By the time I had it at the shop they told me it was the crank sensor, and hoped it wasnt' because I was an idiot and didn't change the oil EVER...Well it was the latter, 7k for new USED motor. My friend limped his to Carmax and dumped it. I am sure this is the worse case and a sign of pure dumbassness but, be careful.
