If anyone has done this personally or knows how to do this a DIY would be greatly appreciated

I read prior posts about the possible options but have no idea how to install

can be done... only thing is, i dont know if it can be integrated into the stock key fob. you might have to go with a secondary remote which would suck IMO.the new viper has a bypass built in so you can use remote start feature. ill ask a few installers of mine to look into it and see if we can use all aftermarket benefits with stock key and let everyone know. i hope we can do it cuz if so im all on it!

u'r going to need a bypass mod because the G's don't give power to anything when it's off. I heard that installing this on a 6MT is way too complicated and on the 5AT it took 8 hours to install the viper system....lol

ill be askin by head tech on this one 2morrow, hopefully he will come up with some solutions. 8 hours is very possible for a harder vehicle installing remote start, but well worth it if it works... plus its free!

yeah i was looking up companies that make starters, some come with a manual bypass already installed

i found one at a company called autostart ones that has a manual bypass built in, however not sure if works with g37 key (would prefer that)

Autostart AS-2272:

you guys got best buy, but i have a sister store called futureshop and it took 8 hours to do the bypass and viper install, most of the time was the bypass thing. It would take even longer to install remote start, so I didn't go for it.
I asked about the 6MT's and the guy said forget it, not even going to try.

Let us know if it works out

it's very possible to do this, thing is, you absolutely have to make sure your car is always in neutral when you leave the car. Obviously if the car is in gear it won't start...........my friend used to have a manual with remote start and if he left it in gear and tried to start it the car would actually start rolling under the starters power haha.

we know its possible, we r just tryin to see if we can integrate it with a factory remote. the viper 5701 can integrate with man trannys.

Extreme 2,000 feet FCC legal 2-Way range
Simple new universal icons
Longer battery life – 3 to 6 months
TempCheck using GhostLights – check the vehicle temperature using the hidden LEDs on the remote
Soft Touch surfaces for comfortable tactile sensation
Manual Transmission remote start enabled

i dont really feel like carryin 2 remotes... so far i havent found any info on the stock key fobs. still searchin

if u always leave ur car in Neutral and not first anyway - thats a plus for gettin remote start right? Im sure every once in a blue moon if someone else (like after a service tech drove it) drove the car and parked it and u absent mindedly turn it on the car would lunge if it was left in 1st, right?

A few people here have the factory fobs being used as remote starts. The single biggest drawback is range. The frequency does not lend itself to more then about 150 feet; and that's with clear line of sight.

yea ive read that off of a few ppls comments too. im trying to find a way to integrate the alarm as well so all the features can be used. almost like the viper 330 piggy back alarm. my head tech said he doesnt think it can be done but im still lookin into it. im gonna call my rep from DEI and find out. so far my only solution would be to keep the stock key fob in the car and carry around the DEI remote ... the viper 5701 has a pretty crappy way of bypassing the man trans. remote start. you have to go through a step by step process to "show" the alarm that the vehicle is in neutral. the more i look into the less its worth to me. guess time will tell.
