Car won’t shift!

i own a 2008 g37 coupe and having an issue with either the transmission or clutch I’m not sure what it is, I put the car in reverse and once I came out of reverse I tried putting into first but it wouldn’t go in, same thing with all the other gears, it seems to be stuck on a gear but I’m not sure which one, I can move the shifter as if it were in neutral, but it isn’t. I try to move the car and the clutch starts to burn up. Any ideas?? I checked the fluids and I changed them but that didn’t work. I also let it roll backwards with the clutch pedal released and it made a bunch of loud clunking sounds. What can it be??

Welcome. Sorry you had to join in these circumstances.

I moved your post to a more appropriate forum. Sure sounds like internal damage. If you clutch is getting hot, I doubt it's the problem. That said, since you'll have to pull the transmission to diagnose and fix the problem, you should put in a new clutch and pressure plate.
