AWD click/pop while reversing and quick question

noticed this recently, the front end seems to pop or click when I知 backing up. Never heard while driving forward. Ideas?

Also will the front end decouple if I engage the ebrake? Curious for... reasons

Check out TSB ITB13-008. This fixed my axle click. If your symptoms are the same, might be worth giving it a try.

interesting... I might try and do this myself, don稚 really want the hassle of going to Infiniti for this.

Definitely worth doing yourself. Took me about 30 mins with regular ol' tools and jack stands. I think it was a 32 socket I needed for the axle nut.

good to hear! Luckily I have to tools, all I need is the grease. Is this type of grease that痴 mentioned in the tsb absolutely necessary?

I don't think so; that grease is expensive as crap and is hard to find except by the bucket. I used regular anti seize from autozone. High-temp I think. No issues.

Thanks!! My dad said pretty close to the same, he drove an old dart. Y談now, it took a little loan from the bank of Mom and Dad, but it was totally worth it!

I値l try attaching a GoPro to the front end and replicating the situation when I have time, and if I end up doing this I値l be sure to get some pictures and make some more detailed instructions if I get around to it
