Mtec shifter spring

So I know this is geared to a very small batch of people, but for those of you who are 6mt, has anyone tried the Mtec shifter spring and can give feedback?

I went through Calg37's build thread this morning and saw this mentioned. I know the price tag and very small, but it has my interest. Wondering how much better shifting can get on top of my RJM pedal, STS, weighted ****.

**UPDATE** After some quick seraching (which I should of done first) seems the consensus is that its not worth the time and headache of the install. Also read that if you already have a STS, you essentially feel no difference.

That's been the opinion I keep coming to, as well. I've looked at this a number of times over the years, and always end up looking away.

I feel for you, tho. Inexpensive, relatively easy install, something unique to the 6MT, etc. But at the end of the day, I suspect it's pointless with your STS, and more about bragging rights for another mod.

Yea Im with you as well now. No clue why I never even knew of this spring until yesterday. Guess that also goes to show how much of a "mod" it is.

I have enough going on right now, I have no need for bragging rights of another mod

I have read mixed reviews on the 370z forum but I figure since I’m replacing my clutch and everything else around the area I might as well see first hand how it feels. What STS did you go with? I ordered a TWM STS and have not recieved a shipping number yet I’m getting frustrated as I ordered 3 weeks ago with no contact to several emails and phone calls.

Calg I have the Torque Solutions STS. Build on it is exceptionally well! Ball bearing pivot and all SS hardware. Absolutely no complaints on it.

Pending how much shipping is, here are 2 places that are right around the $150 mark.
