Help Please!

What up my fellow G brothers, I would really appreciate if someone can help me diagnose my problem before I take it to a shop.
Earlier today when I came to a stop at a red light my car started shaking and dropped to really low rpms, nearly turned off. So when I accelerated, it started “sputtering” like if no fuel was getting through or like my car was dying if I had no fuel in the tank (still had like half tank of gas). Could it be bad fuel pump? Spark plugs?
Sorry if I don’t know how to expain it any better but would appreciate the info.

Was a check engine light coming on in your dash cluster, sounds like it went into limp mode.

when I had similar symptoms (worse under more gas) it was the water pump. It's not a cheap fix (around $1800 including new chain guides), but the pump itself was about $100.

I'm not sure how to test for it other than taking down the crank chain cover, but that's what it was.

You're in limp mode. Usually accompanied by a CEL but not always. Low oil pressure is one reason it does this and needs to be addressed pronto. Could also be water in the fuel tank, multiple member shave had this problem.

if it were to be the water pump wouldn’t the cars temperature rise?

I didn't notice a rise in temp. It wasn't a complete failure, but the bearing was going out. It would cause the car to have to use a LOT more horsepower to turn the pump than usual.

Don't bother disclosing the year, model, mileage, and any recent work or modifications on your vehicle.

2 months ago maybe? oil is vital to the engine, it is its life blood and what prevents the engine components from wearing and or locking up. hopefully its not the dreaded oil galley gasket for the timing cover.
