Hi, can someone tell me how easy it is to switch to the external video input on the head unit? Is it buried in the menu system or will it switch video inputs with one button press.

Also can you play video from video input but play audio from the cd player? Or do you have to listen to something connected through the analog audio jacks when you have the external video source selected?

If the prerequisites are met, (not moving, parking brake on) all you have to do is hit the Source button until the Aux Input is active. Once active, the video will immediately show up on the screen with its audio.

I'm not aware of a way to play CD audio with Aux video. I don't think it would work.

 

One button cycles thru the different inputs. So you have to press it until the AUX input comes up. Depending on where you are starting from determines how many times you have to press it. And the audio is selected at the same time as the video, so no playing a CD at the same time.
