Personally, i enjoy driving like a maniac
Dude, I had to come back and tell you guys. So I just had Ark Grip exhaust put on my car. Just the drive back, I felt like the aggressive tip in has diminished a bit. I feel like I can give the car my usual light pedal and it won't jerk my head back.

I feel like my car may have just needed supporting mods for the tune(i really should have gotten exhaust first). I'm going to pay attention next couple days and see if it's just a placebo.

So with 1/4 bottle of torco(8oz added to 10 gal), it should have boosted me about 4 octane numbers. So I'm assuming I'm at around 96+ octane on the conservative side.
It probably raised it 4 points = 0.4 octane numbers

A gallon of straight toluene in 10 gallons of 93 octane would get you about 95 octane. There's no way 8 oz of anything is getting you 96+

Yep, Especially considering the torco is basically just 110 octane fuel by itself.

(edit)
Curious though, Torco's own blend chart suggests otherwise. I wonder...

That chart does not indicate straight Torco octane but one could probably infer it from the chart.

I checked MSDS and it lists 2,2,4-trimethylpentane (80-100%), Methylcyclopentadienyl Manganese Tricarbonyl (0.1-10%) and naphthalene (0.1-5%). The first one is plain old isooctane which has octane of 100. Naphthalene is 90 Motor octane, I don't have Research number but it will be roughly 10-15 number higher. The manganese compound wasn't tested in API Project 45. Formula One outlawed manganese in fuels in the Nineties due to toxicity but it sure made astronomical turbo pressure values possible.

Chemical manufacturers must list each chemical in a mixture on the MSDS. They are allowed to fudge proportions to protect recipe, thus the ranges listed above.

Yeah, stuff would have to be like 500-600 octane to give you a 3 octane number boost in at a 1:160 ratio.

We must be looking at different charts. The linked chart doesn't show an 8-oz in 10 gallon entry. Are you inferring from the five gallon line?

In addition, is that 8 fluid ounces or mass ounces?

I was just basing my numbers off what torco claimed.
