I can't be the only person who has experienced this with the coupe.

whenever I move in reverse, it makes a loud squealing noise. It een louder when I'm on a hill or after it rains. Happens a lot usually kn the begining, thought after reversing for some time the squealing noise does subside a bit.

I did a lot lf research with the general consensus being that it happens to most of the g37 coupes.


Has anyone experienced this? and has anyone found a solution? there has GOT to be a solution to this some how!!

Ugh, I have this problem. My solution is to just reverse at full speed without touching my brakes until the last second.

 

If it's coming from the brakes you might try a little caliper grease on the brake pad backing plates.

 

My did something similar but moving in the forward direction. I checked the brakes, the wheels and etc. What made my 2012 G37xS coupe squeal was the drum brakes (e-brake). I ended up having to adjust it so that it doesn't rub. Since then, my coup has been squeal free.

I had this problem and it drove me nuts. Once I changed brakes and rotors it was gone A friend of mine used grease but it came back eventually. Still worth a shot

I've tried the grease on the breaks, and I even installed brand new brakes. Still the same problem.


To the poster above, the ebrake situation sounds quite interesting. Can I ask how you found that to be the problem? And would I have to take it to the shop to ask the worker to see the ebrake? Or is it something I can do on my own?
