I can't believe that you went through all that trouble and didn't delete the throttle body warmers or the stock "oil cooler".

The place I take my car for oil told me that I have a coolant leak in the back. I am guessing it is the plastic heater bypass. I saw someone mention that there is a metal one available from O'Reily. This mechanic is telling me that they have to take off the intake manifold and Lower plenum does that sound right?
it’s listed in the thread above if I recall. It’s been months since I did this so I can’t tell ya off hand (and I’m too lazy to search like you are haha) I didn’t change it at first and of course a week later my coupler broke so I bought the O’Reilly part and it fixed the problem.

this is the rear leak of the engine correct not the heater hose
I have a 2014 Infiniti Q60, awhile back when I had first gotten the car I kept having smoke coming from under the hood. Eventually I diagnosed it as the plastic coupler that connected the two heater hoses in the rear of the engine had basically disintegrated and was the cause of the leak. No biggie I bought a $3 barbed brass fitting to replace the coupler and haven’t had an issue yet until this morning. This morning I went out and the car was smoking crazy just as it had before, so I popped the hood and upon observation it was clear I was burning the coolant from the same exact spot as last time, this time my guess being the hose, the problem, I had to go to work so I topped her off with coolant and drove 25 minutes to work but when I got there every sign of the coolant leak was gone, no more burning coolant excess, no coolant smell, no smoke, and the coolant tank stayed full, what the **** is going on??? Any thoughts I included a video of the smoking
i had the same coolant leak and had to replace the line. i believe i messed up tho.
i got to the line from under the car. jacked it up and have to remove my cats to get to. even then it was hard and limited space. too me about 2-3 hours of struggling to get the hose&clamp on.
i think i got the wrong hose. i assume it was a coolant line since coolant runs through it. now im reading it’s a heater hoses. i forgot the size but it was smaller than 3/8.
so my question is.
what is the correct size hose
what hose am i looking for (coolant or heater hose)
what is the best way to reach that line in the back of the engine? tools ect.
That is the coolant hose that goes to the passenger-side throttle body (feed line). Here it is on the parts diagram:
The correct p/n: 14058-EY01D and runs about $20.
As for the size, I am sure it is close to 3/8" but can not state for certain. I am sure you could probably size it up and get a length of coolant hose from the chain store. "Heater" and "Coolant" hose(s) are the same thing. As for the clamps, a set of long needle nose pliers (Harbor Freight is the best deal) comes in VERY handy on these cars.
Then there is the argument that if you are in a hot climate you can just delete the throttle body hoses, cap off the ends, and go about your business.

Yes, that is the hose i had to replace. i believe i had it replace with a 1/2. i think i might move up to 5/16. i tried 3/8 and it was alil loose/easy to get on so i didnt use that size. any tips on how to get to that hose from the top?

I was able to open the cover & try to see where the leak is coming from. It appears it is leaking from a hose underneath the right(driver side) air intake thingy.
Question:
1. Do anyone know the name of the hose and/or part number? Pic 1 (1 end) Pic 3 ( other end). Pic 2 is close up of Pic 1, Pic 4 is close up of Pic 3
2. Pic 5 - I see some coolant (left over leak) in the back area. Is there another hose there or is it residual from the hose leak from Pics. I checked the back hose & there is no leak or wet spot from hose going into firewall of the car. Guess, i need to understand the diagram of how the coolant flows for the G37.
Hopefully this is the culprit because i hate to look for/change hose from the back of engine (Pic 5). Any recommendation/advice on replacing the leak hose.. eg: coolant flush, turn off bleeder somewhere to stop fluid flowing, etc. I will probably burp the system after leak hose change.

Thank you for posting this picture. I've had a coolant leak for the last month or so, and the one place I took it to couldn't find the leak. They thought maybe it was the radiator cap, but I replaced that, and it made no difference. I realize I'll have to look for more leaks in the areas you posted pics for. Your pic 4 looks
like the exact location of my leak. I guess I'll have to figure out how to remove that coolant and any corrosion too.
