Bummer...2nd OEM CSC failed on me.
Had the first one replaced under warranty in June 2013 after it failed.
Today I come out of work and my clutch has zero pressure to it (pedal was moving but the clutch itself was stuck). Immediately popped the hood and checked the clutch fluid reservoir and found it bone dry (I checked it 4 days ago along with all my fluid levels and it was full). Puddle under my car too.
Had to get it towed to the dealership and had the same mechanic look at it that fixed it last time (descent guy and i trust him). He confirmed that indeed the CSC was shot again.
Now the big question is whether Infiniti will do anything to help out with it as the car is no longer under warranty. I've only put about 40,000km (25,000 miles) on the car since the CSC was replaced and I don't abuse or track the car. It's my DD and, if anything, I baby it.
These CSC's really go that fast? After they put the new one in I fully expected it would be fine for as long as I owned the car. Really disappointed. Hoping Infiniti steps up and takes care of it.

I believe the warranty on the replacement part is for 12 months 12K miles. Maybe they'll extend this "customer goodwill" I've heard tales of if you've paid them a lot of money over the years for routine maintenance work. Quite a few people have had problems with the OEM CSC. If they tell you to kick rocks upgrade it t Li the heavy duty one made by Z Speed.
Good luck.
Good luck.
I went to them for routine maintenance while the car was in warranty but not since. Do it all myself now (thanks to a few of your "DIY" posts BB!)
I mentioned the Zspeed CSC during my discussion with the service manager. He actually mentioned that maybe if Infiniti wouldn't do anything for me they would look into ordering and installing that one instead of an OEM one.
Anyway, won't have any definitive answers until Monday when he can call them to discuss.
Thanks!

Sorry to hear about this....
Make sure to change the clutch master cylinder as well as the CSC.
If the return port in the master get blocked, it will over extend the CSC and clutch/brake fluid will leak out, leaving you without a clutch.
ALSO, make sure the mastery cylinder clutch rod has a small amount (~ 1/16") of free play. This ensures the master cylinder can fully return to the home position and the return port is open.

Thanks! I saw the recommendation to replace the clutch master cylinder along with the HD CSC noted on the the Zspeed website. I'll be sure to tell them to do that as well. Also going to get their stainless steel clutch hose.
All this assuming, of course, that they're not going to cover it and replace it all for me. Even then though, I'm sitting here wondering why I'd have them put in the same OEM CSC (with the known deficiency) that I've already had problems with twice. I can't believe Nissan didn't make a running change on these to fix the issues when almost everyone with a manual G37 or 370Z is having problems with them?!
