Hey guys i was wondering if any of you have any input on the Transgo kit that they made for the 5at that helps decrease shift lag since our automatic transmission is pretty bad going aggressive in any gears especially 1st to 2nd,or timing of a couple hundred milliseconds so you wouldn't hit redline. Any thoughts or inputs are welcomed, thanks!

What sold me are the numerous videos of the before and after on the 5AT on YouTube, seemed to be night and day. I'll def be grabbing this kit before I'm done with the turbo install.

It seems like a good deal for only $268 if it actually makes a big difference.

 

If you look Transgo g35/350z/g37 on YouTube there's a lot of videos showing before and after result and it's pretty interesting the effects it has on our 5at.

I thought you were gonna do a 5at to 6sp swap?

Either way, if someone gets this installed here I'm curious as to what the length of time the shop took, and the total amount spent.

 

Does it change the downshift delay or just the upshifts ?

 

I'm assuming both down and upshifts

 

Yeah I have the spare trans but I love the paddle shifters in the twisties and love driving an auto in traffic sooooo, pretty settled on keeping the 5AT. Who knows..

 

Getting the kit install on the 30th Sept. by AAM Competition. I will let you guys know how it turns out.

 

Just ordered mine on Friday, I'll be doing it myself and this is the first time I've been scared to install something. Looks pretty in depth :/
