My installer is having a difficult time installing my oil cooler. I have an X sedan and got the kit with the thermostatic plate. In being told he can get one like connected but not the second. I think he may be routing the lines wrong. Can anyone with an X give me some tips to pass along to him?
The AWD G37's oil filter has a factory 90* adapter for the oil filter. This means the filter points to the FRONT of the car. The 370z & G37S oil filter is mounted directly on the side of the engine block and point to the front passenger tire.
I had the same issue with mine , the lines route is completly different. My installed called Z and they told him it was only tested on a RWD car. mine run behind the passanger side wheel splash shield and you have to clock the plate to like 7 oclock. I think it instructions have it at like 3 :/
He got it done last night. Thanks Mike you're input was the key. Install successful!!! Now onto the nitrous kit. Probably doing some vinyl wrapping next week, then following week will be nitrous. Can't wait!
haha. I'll start with a 100 shot, I got the Maximizer 4 Progressive controller and Visconti says he can write a tune MAP for nitorus for me. It should be blast to take a new Camaro SS at the strip.
Where'd you get the stuff and who's installing it? I really liked it when I had it but I the thing I see being and issue is ( I KNOW) but on the street to have fun how would we change maps, the car has to be stopped, and I wouldn't thing you could drive 100% on that map and it would only be for NOS?
^^ Thanx LOVE The Z1 drain plug, You'll have to keep an eye on the fittings at the plate mine seap, almost all the time. I check them every oil change. But again I bet this is just "my" considering I can't get anything done right :/. LOL
See pics of my install. It turned out fine after Mike's advice.
