g37s vs G37 IPL rear differential

do you guys know if there is a difference between the 09 g37s rear differential and the IPL REAR? I need to replace mine and there is one close by I want to pick up but want to make sure it will work before I pull the trigger because I see on driveshaftshop.com the upgrades say "except IPL" so I'm worried now there is a difference

The IPL is a coupe, so if you have a coupe you should be alright. The extra length of the sedan means it uses a longer driveshaft which may be why the site shows the exception.

The differentials are compatible sedan, coupe etc. I can put a 08 g37 S vlsd in my 7 speed auto sedan and be okay. I'm pretty sure the differential on the ipl is the same as the diff in the g37s coupe. I think compatibility will be fine

Just make sure you match auto to auto and manual to manual otherwise you will need to change the flange

I couldn't tell you exactly, I cant imagine much if any. But, even if the LSD weighed 50lbs more, its well worth it.
