2011 G37x Sedan transmission swap

Picked up a G37x for a good price with a blown transmission. Was told the wrong tranny fluid may have been used and given the condition of the car there are indications it wasn't driven too rough.

Anyway given the price for a new transmission at $9350 this has me going to scavenge one from a junkyard. Some research leads me to believe I have a JATCO JR710E transmission.

Is this the same transmission as the RWD with the transfer case bolted to it or considered one integral combined piece? Also what range of years should I look for 08-14 ? for the tranny to bolt on and fit?

Thanks,

-Bill

Tempting for sure but I have to control myself. Knowing something could break if I get too rough keeps me tame.

Nice having access to a lift. I don't think I want to start the engine cold and pump all the old fluid out of the cooler line before it heats up like I used to.

Seems the preferred method here is to warm it up a bit and perform measured drains and refills and repeat. Makes sense these days given the nooks and crannies.

Redline D6 ATF seems to be the consensus for the transmission and transfer case and going to drain and pump in motul 75w-90 for the differentials. I have Mobil 1 0w-40 in to run the motor.

getting a bullet proof transmission from level 10 will set you back less than 6k installed which blows almost 10k for a stock transmission out of the water
