2011 g37s coupe 6mt

I just took my infiniti the dealer and my clutch is going at 26k I just bought the car 500 mi ago which is unfortunate. Looking to get a stillen, act, or jwt clutch kit. I know this has most likely been asked but i just joined 1 minute ago. With the stillen clutch kit do you need to replace the slave cylinder? Is the flywheel worth the extra cost or should i just get a clutch? Durability? How much in labor to install an aftermarket clutch at an indy shop. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Scott

Hi Scott.
Welcome to the site, sorry to hear of your clutch issues. I'm going to move this to a more specific folder.

I want to start off by saying welcome to the forums and congratulations on the new car. When it comes to labor it varies depending where you go. I've seen people pay anywhere from $300-$800 believe it or not. And in my opinion if you're changing the clutch you may as well change EVERYTHING including rhe slave cylinder. I'd recommend the Jim Wolf Technology clutch kit. But I'm probably being biased on a count I used their stage 3 kit on my g35 coupe back in the day when i blew my clutch and loved everything about it. Sorry to hear that your clutch is going so soon after purchasing the car and with such low mileage the previous driver must not have knew how to drive properly. Hopefully once you get this all finished you will fall in love with the car all over again. Best of luck and let us know what you end up deciding

Are you on a N/A car? You don't ever NEED to replace the slave unless it is bad, however, you would be foolish not to get an upgraded slave or slave delete while you are in there for the clutch. The OEM slaves are known for their failures. If you get anything harder than a stock clutch, they seem to go faster as well. As for your clutch brands, I don't have much experience. I have heard great things about Southbend, OS Giken, Specialty Z clutches. Z speed performance makes an HD CSC, but check with them, there is a manufacturer of clutches that it does not pair well with.
