RJM Performance Clutch Pedal Assembly
Ahh, I now know what you mean.
I had that issue when the Nissan dealer put in GL-5 in my 95 Maxima that requires GL-4. The GL-5 was too slippery and didn't have enough friction for the synchros to work properly.

With my 2003 Maxima in OEM trim, it happened 50% of the time, and sometimes violently miss-shifted. After reducing drivetrain movement, that went down to 5%, and never a miss-shift.
With my 2011 G37, that happens like 2% of the time, and never actually a miss-shift or hard grind.
And always 2nd to 3rd gear. There's something in the water at Nissan's transmission build facility.
Hey, so this is the engine mount:
https://www.z1motorsports.com/engine...nt-p-6470.html
its oem, 170 usd. probably shipped to canada an extra 90 cad LOL
I went to a mechanic, tranny mount he wants 450 CAD...
The grind/bite only happens when shifting at -5th to 6th- 34 MPH (55 km/h)
It's less obvious at -5th to 6th- 40 MPH (55km/h). I'm wondering if its to early to shift...

I could be wrong, but I just can't see how engine/tranny mounts prevents a grind/bite when shifting.
If I were you, I would change the transmission oil with the proper OEM Nissan MTF 75w85.
Cheapest first option.
As for "too early to shift" as long as the engine's RPM is more than 1500-2000 you are in the correct gear and no harm is being done. You just won't be able to accelerate quickly.

I drive my G like a grandma bro. ( most time at least) haha. Yeah i will try the fluid change first see what happens. But since Rochester mentioned the mounts i realized that in neutral the *** shakes "more" than normal. It could pass by a ***** haha.

That said, I'm still installing the Z1 Tranny mount, NVH be damned.
I'll admit to being a little apprehensive about it, but mostly I'm psyched. And if it works out well (for me), I suspect the Z1 engine mounts will climb up to the top of my future mod list.I actually like noise and vibration, probably to a greater degree than most G owners. It makes the car feel more visceral, the way a M3 feels, or a STI, or old-school American muscle. And I most certainly do not drive the car like a grandma, even though I'm a 52 year old, gray-haired suburban Dad. Given relatively safe circumstances, I enjoy hard launches and high revving 2nd gear.

My car has 125000 km(77000 miles). I do like launching hard... Lately more often than usual... I'm getting more comfortable driving this beast. Rochester can you link me the Trany mount? I can't find it!

Here's mine, just sitting on the dining room table, waiting for next month.
I always keep my car in the powerband. Yeah, it's not very good on gas mileage (15mpg over the last year), but I drive it like I stole it 100% of the time.
You can still get decent mileage without resorting to puttering around just above idle.
Shifting into 6th gear at 34mph?!? Are you hypermiling? You're going to have no ability to get out of your own way unless you downshift 4 gears. By that time, you'll have passed the window in which you could have reacted to whatever came up.

Yeah shiffting at 33 mph sometimes i do but never uphill. When merging and stuff i try to revmacth downshift (pretty successfully accomplished on most occasions).
@Rochester I found it, I just realized we have to click under Performance Parts / Z1 Products and voila. Thank you for the linkanyway~ I want to install it sometime this summer.

Apparently Ryan at RJM Performance is about to introduce an aftermarket Clutch Master Cylinder. No pictures or details yet...
370Z/G37 Clutch Master Cylinders - RJM Performance.com
...and I have to admit, I don't know what problem it's solving, or benefit it's providing. However, considering how fantastic his Pedal Assembly is, I suspect this new product will become another must-have.

Anyone on the forum have the v3.1?
Know the pedal settings are matter of personal preference, but would be grateful of any guidance for which settings people have had success with (AFP, friction point height, rod angle). TIA
