5th gear noise

I've had my 09 g37s 6mt for 2k miles now (6months) and just a week ago I heard what sounds like a tapping or knocking noise when accelerating in fifth gear right around 2000 rpms. As soon as I accelerate past 2000 rpms the knocking tapping noise goes away. It's a really soft noise so I can only hear it when the windows are shut and it sounds like it's related to how hard I accelerate.

I went to the dealership the next day for a ride along with a tech and he heard the noise as well. They looked at it on the lift and said that the rear subframe was leaking fluid and both gaskets were leaking a little bit of oil.

Anybody run into this before? Do you guys think that repairing the gaskets and subframe would fix the issue? I'm also asking them to reset ecu once the repairs have been done.

Thanks for any input guys
