7AT possible slippage/squeak.

Hey folks,

I am an ungrateful owner of a 2011 7AT Sedan which has already once received the tsb reflash which lasted about 2 months.

Very recently though, I have been getting what either sounds like belt squeal or transmission slippage which sounds more like a metal on metal slight squeak when in manual mode gears 1 to 2 while accelleratating from a stop.

The car has about 58k on it and no 7AT light is lit up on the dash. The accelleration seems strong, but I seem to think the sound relates to a gear slippage.

Thoughts? Or personal experience with the same?

Did you check the belt if it's cracking? Also tranny slip should be somewhat like when you hit the gas, the rpm goes up, but car doesn't want to move.

I haven't checked the belts personally.

If it is the belts, why would they only sqeak upon 1 to 2 accel?

The other point I didnt mention, it sounds like it is coming from underneath the car, moreso than upfront. Hard to tell really from driver perspective.

Yea that I don't understand why either. Are you able to replicate this 100% of the time? At any RPM manual mode only? Maybe have someone drive it in an empty parking lot so you can hone in?
