So I was driving home this morning and noticed something different with my clutch.
As I pull into my garage and turn the engine off something fell from under the dashboard to my feet....I looked down, and this is what I see



I noticed the bracket arm for the spring support broke off.





Took the bracket off and the plan is to repair it:


Never seen this happen before.
btw...I got the OEM spring.

 

Probably a result of that spring being way too stiff and over stressing that bend in the bracket.

Update: a little TIG weld & paint....just like new

 

Yep, personally I think that spring was a poor choice on Infiniti's part. It's way too stiff from the factory.

 

Definitely change it to a lighter spring. It's worth the money and is a pretty significant upgrade over the stronger stock spring:

Thanks....actually, I have the Jsolo spring but I guess Im just used to the OEM
