Car Battery: Best Value w Great Warranty??

Hi,

Is there a thread that talks about car battery, the best bang for your money: value + warranty??

I normally buys Die Hard but recently found out they only have 3yr warranty w NO prorated

Bare stock, so car system or others that requires extra power is not needed/necessary.

Your input is greatly appreciated. Thanks n advance

What ever you get, make sure it is AGM construction.

Exide Global Extreme. Size 24FX is the one you want. It's for the M but it's more powerful than the application for the G but it will fit perfectly. $120.

Seems everyone has gone to the replacement only warranty option these days. Why pay more for an agm when its warranty is only marginally longer?

The advantages of an AGM battery aren't worth the extra cost for normal usage in normal conditions IMO. A quality lead acid battery with a good warranty is all you need. No AGM or overpriced Optima batteries with a crappy warranty.

The (3) AGM batteries I have all went 7+ years before replacement. I just feel the technology is worth the extra $$.

Im at 6 years + on OEM Nissan battery since it was changed out in 09 (maybe 08?) when I had the vent solenoid TSB performed. No signs of it giving up yet.

I'm at ~3 1/2 years. This past winter I noticed the car cranking slower than normal. While it's been starting up just fine, I rather not have to replace a battery on *this* car when it's freezing outside.

@BB, I'll give exide a call during the week to clarify the warranty duration. Locally, o'reily's had a 60 month battery of which the the last 24 were prorated.
