Infiniti makes it a two day job, with a lot of research done prior to the job, my mechanic friend and I did it in two 4 hour sessions but unlike the dealer, we replaced just the gaskets and not the entire rear timing cover. Still a crapload of work and you're hunched over the hood of the car for majority of those hours. Hopefully the low occurrence of this helps some sleep better.
Still amazes me that the engineering missed this. Guess the paper gaskets were fine in the 3.5 motor and they thought they can get away with the same design in the 3.7. More power, bigger displacement, paper gaskets can't handle it sometimes
