G37 and Stroker kit

So I've been poking around on seeing what I might do as far as trying to get to 400 whp I know I can go SC Stillen or GTM ( if I can find one) and be over 400 WHP. But how long will it last , I had 412 WHP on my Stillen kit and had issues , then got power hungrey and made 457whp but motor only lasted 3 days. I have seen the importpartspro stroker kit for like 4k figuring 4k for install the cost would be the same as a FI kit without install. BUT the questions is what is the power output of the Stroker kit? I've seen a few members with a Stroker kitin the wig but what did they make for power I can't find any threads with info. All the ones I saw had stockers and FI . Looking for just a stroker kit .

You want the stroker kit with high compression for a NA build right?

I can't find any stroker kit review without turbos

You should call importpartspro.
I called them once and they were very informative.

I have the kit and been running the car for a year now with pleasure lol, it's a NA high compression built .. got the kit from Brian Crower itself ( i can hook you up with Dustin if interested ) Keep in mind stroking a VQ is not as easy as bolting a turbo or SC kit, you need a professional shop to perform the installation .. Also professional shop to do the polishing/porting job .. Crank must be properly balanced to the specs, you don't want to screw up your bearings or other components .. you should determine what bore/compression you're going with ( fuel you're using play a role here ) .. also you need some good cams ( not a must tho) but i don't know how you're gonna tune them as you don't have access to your timing tables unless u go for EcuTek .. you need head studs too, new rods and crank bearings, new water and oil pump since you're there .. wud recommend to upgrade your oil pump, nismo offers one for $1300 .. mmm that's all for now, lemme kno if you needed anything.

I'm slowly piecing together my stoker kit / engine build with the TT set up. Curious to see the stroker kit alone.

^ 12:1cr is a bit high for 93 oct your car might knock, ecu wud retard the ignition timing but you can always get a water/methanol kit if you wanna go on that high compression. I've made 375whp on dynojet, that's a stage1 Stillen SC G37 coupe figure made on the same dyno a week after ( 378whp to be precised).

11:5cr/96mm bore CP pistons, Crank 86.4mm, 272 tomei cams all around ... 95 pump gas, Brian Crower kit.
I'm installing 600cc injectors and 255 Walbro FP then i'll retune again, wud add another map for c16 too
I'm also running 63mm TBs along with z1 upper plenum ( put them just recent, not been retuned yet ).
so now i'm gonna retune for the new fuel system along with above breathers.

( HR OEM 10:6/95.5mm, 81.4mm stroke), Just for reference.

Thanx Glover, I wouldn't be changing the heads either, So no CAMs. The 3.7 is 11:1 I guess I could stay at there . I did figure on the injectors and pump
I'm going to call them sometime this week also. They sell long blocks also, maybe that's an option ?

Seems like most of the things Glover has done are similar to what I'm doing to get my motor built as well. I'm guessing the cost at the end of the day probably amounts to the amount of going TT with a stock block (which can range around 500-600whp depending on tuning). Glover care to share a rough estimate of your engine build?

I think you're good for 11:5 no issues .. but better double check with them first.

Good luck ..

Something around $2300 ( that's a labor work only).

Thanks, sounds about the same as where I am at with my motor as well labor being 3k and parts 4k. Which puts the cost near that of a TT kit.
