From: Framingham Ma,
Ok So Kyle was very helpful but looks like I might just look at the SC kit again, a fully built VQ37VHR stroked to 4.34 ltr is $10,750, + shipping +$1500 core. :/ With install and tune I'm looking at 15-16k .
Stroking a block to keep it N/A is a waste of money on the 37. The head and tune will always be limiting factors. Swapping to HR heads, rebuilding the head and aftermarket ECU to tune is too much $$$ and with the labor charges you guys have it'll just sky rocket. So unless you're sponsored it wouldn't make sense in my opinion. Might as well just swap a V8 in if you want N/A power.
On a separate note, a guy just made 820whp on his 370Z with a pair of snails and a rebuilt engine, why bother stroking

Hi Sam,
Thanx man, I know
I'm still VERY MUCH punching myself for selling my Stillen SC, I most likely will either pick up a used kit or go AAM twin's. Still have something working there
, Was just looking at all options which looks like this isn't

Why even look at a supercharger kit? Just throw a TT kit on there, be at 500-600whp on the stock block, and call it a day for 10k installed/tuned (or less depending on what kit and if new/used). Or if you want a DIY project you can get the BP single turbo kit and save on labor - a friend local to me installed it himself on his G37 Coupe and is around 500whp.

7SPd auto and X (AWD) Gotta be very careful here, I'm not sure the limits of the Tcase, I know the 330 WHTQ was close the breaking point of the auto ?
Trust me I have been looking at he AAM kit HARD, but just not sure about the auto, even If I have to build it its fine but would need 12-18 months to save for a tranny build, Then theres the TCase :/
BP doesn't make one for the auto yet the X cars, No one makes one for the X cars :/ ,SC is my only options as of right now

Each to his own , to me .. Seeing 122F in summer, and doing 400km on weekends ( back and forth from duty ) was the main reason to stroke the engine and stay NA only, just wanted a practical and reliable solution and i think i made the right decision
You also have to keep in mind, over here, you can have an engine opened up, stroked and put back in the car for a thousand bucks. In the US, you'll probably have to add a zero to that. So dollar vs dollar it's not worth the investment and you won't make anywhere near the TT power.
Rebuilding is also a lot more headache and more prone to **** going wrong, can you deny that?
Can we see dyno's of your stroked car? 4.1L will definitely generate more heat than a turbo setup cruising out of boost.

Lol Sam displacement has nothing to do with heat generation by itself, compression vs fuel does .. Crazy bore with no sleeves does ... Crazy polished Head does .. other than that it's all fine as long as it's done properly.
Talking about investment, was it really worth the money to swap your VQ for RB engine, running thro all the headach, effort, time put into it ?! Wouldn't be better if you just throw that money on a stage 2 or 3 TT kit ?! Yea ? Then why did you go that route ?!
Because you wanted a unique project! And thats what i wanted too

Besides my car, How many stroked NA HR/VHR over here ?! Zero !!
So would be always a winner in terms of NA cars, but going FI may not keep it up with crazy FI fellas around, so element of competition will be always there lol.
Peace ..
